Epcot!

I am sorry I have been a terrible blogger school has been crazy. It's funny because whenever I read other people's blogs I wonder how school could be so busy to the point that you can't blog... well the time has come. So there really hasn't been anything going on toward the program so I will tell you my typical day at...

EPCOT

So of course we get there before rope drop so we are ready to go from the very start. The World Showcase doesn't normally open until 11am and the park opens around 9. Once we get in there I run to the land to get fastpasses to Soarin' and then my family and I jump in the stand-by line depending on how long it is. This is my mom's absolute favorite ride so we ride it as many times as possible. Then we do living with the land and the sea's with Nemo and friends. No matter how old we are, we always do Turtle Talk with Crush because it is so darn cute. We really don't have a huge game plan for Epcot we just go with the flow. We do Journey into Imagination and shop around, Club Cool, shop around and then get to Test Track to get our next round of fastpasses. Once the World Showcase is open we take our time wondering around and by this time we are all hungry. All 5 people in my family use the World Showcase to get whatever they want to eat and normally that's 5 different places. We really take our time in Epcot because it's reasonably fast to get around the whole park. Once we finish the World Showcase we shop around and make our way around the park for any last minute short line rides and on our way out we make sure we ride Spaceship Earth and that is the typical Haas day in Epcot!

thank god for Disney

I couldn't be happier to be leaving for the summer. I would be okay if I was to stay with all my university friends all summer but I wouldn't be because none of us really live near by each other. At home I don't have friends. I used to.. but I was sick and tired of hanging around bitches. There are people I have hated all along and then people who were my best friends that picked bitches over me. I am so happy to have the opportunity to go to Disney all summer long and I hope to god I can do this every year so I can meet new people each time and not have to be home anymore.

There are people I am going to miss though, these people include.
My family
Alex McCaig
Jen Rice
Sam Murray
and all the girls I work with at Justice.

you've been good to me and I'll miss you all!

POLYNESIAN :O

This is pretty much just a post about what I have been up to lately because there really isn't much going on just yet for the program. April is when it will start really getting busy!!

I got an email today saying that my official Disney package and offer letter would be arriving late March/Early April.. IT'S FINALLY COMING!!!! I am so so so excited!!

Last night I went to my first Waterloo/Laurier University Disney meet-up !! :D It was so much fun! This was the second one so some people knew each other from the first meet-up and some people knew each other from their interviews. I went there not knowing anyone and came out with new friends who get to share this amazing summer with me!! There were only two of us who were under 21 but WHO NEEDS ALCHOL WHEN YOU HAVE DISNEY! ... that will be answered this summer. We were not a very diverse group of girls there were 3 of us from Merchandising and 3 of us from Operations. Obviously we all pretty much talked about Disney and I told them my guilty pleasure was living on Facebook. I don't think I go more than a few hours without reading Disney blogs, listening to Disney music, checking the Disney Facebook groups.. it truly is unhealthy.
If you plan on doing any programs within Disney I definitely recommend meeting up with other people doing the program too! They are people who know exactly how excited you feel because you are going through the same thing!

My aunt and uncle told me they plan on coming to visit me in June which is sooooo exciting! I went to Magic Kingdom with them once before years ago when my cousins were 3 and 1 (somewhere around there) Now they are 7, 4, and 2!! (I think!) I am so excited to be able to experience their excitement this time around!!! That's not even the best part.. okay maybe spending time with family is the best part but another cool part is... THEY WANT TO STAY AT THE POLYNESIAN.. I hope they weren't kidding because that would be awesome! Guess where I would be staying all week!!

BTW Right now I am downloading all sorts of music from Walt Disney World. So far today I have gotten to background music loops from Adventureland, Main Street, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, and Epcot entrance! They are really great to study to, fall asleep to, or to do homework to because you are not tempted to sing along!

60 DAYS TO GO

I am the 60 day mark and couldn't be more excited. Apparently a few weeks after you get accepted the excitement is supposed to go down but for me it has only gone up!!

60 days and I am running out of things to help the time go by! I have essays coming up that will help distract me but not in a good way.

Here are some things I have been doing to pass the time so far:

  • Order the FREE vacation planning DVD from Walt Disney World
  • Watch youtube videos and vlogs on ICP/CP
  • Read blogs from "retired" ICP/CPs
  • Watch Disney movies
  • Make lists (favorite rides, bucket lists, packing lists)
  • Join Facebook groups and talk about these things with other ICP/CPs
  • Join the shift exchange group to see just what kind of places you maybe working
  • Create a blog!

Walt Disney World's Tangled Tower

This looks so awesome!!

http://www.insidethemagic.net/2013/03/walt-disney-world-opens-tangled-themed-rest-area-further-expanding-fantasyland-with-device-charging-area-and-bathrooms/

I love all the theming. It's unbelievable!! Pascal in the scenery, Pans in the bathrooms, Posters of Flynn, CHARGING STATION! Who would of thunk we would see the day. I don't think they are necessary but at the same time it definitely comes in handy.

Hollywood Studios

So just like I did with Magic Kingdom I will tell you all about the typical Haas day in Hollywood Studios.

We make sure we get there for rope drop so we don't miss a single moment in the park. Once it opens I run ahead and jump in line for Toy Story Mania fastpasses as my family slowly migrates over there. Once they are there we grab the fastpasses and if the line is not to long we jump in for the standby entrance. Once we do that we start with Sunset Boulevard because every is so caught up with TSM the lines aren't long at all for Tower of Terror and Rock'N'Roller Coaster so we do those as much as we can. By now my family bypasses the Beauty and the Beast show because they have seen it too many times. After that we make our to Star Tours, Muppets, Backstage Tour and by then it should be time for our TSM fastpasses. We then watch the parade and go to Pizza Planet and then carry on by doing whatever we feel like. Sometimes it's Little Mermaid, sometimes just shop around and pin trade, sometimes head back to Sunset. There really isn't anything to remember about HS except for get your Toy Story Mania fastpasses RIGHT AT ROPE DROP. If you want to watch Fantasmic definitely line up AT LEAST an hour before. Also if you are watching the parade I would recommend trying to watch it from the starting point or else it takes forever. It is one of the parades that stops for ten minutes to do a little show and then moves on so if you sit at the end you will be waiting quite a while.

I think that's about it.. GOODLUCK.

Bob Evans

First of all, thank you so much for checking out my blog. I've gotten over a hundred views in less than 24 hours and I really appreciate it. I'm writing this for my memories and just as an outlet to talk even if no one is listening but it feels great to have people listen.

Second of all,
I am going to write about Bob Evans. Chances are if you're American you have eaten here at least once or have seen one. To all you Canadians like me... you must try it.
My family has been going here every vacation either on the drive down, drive back home, during vacation but most of the time all 3!! It is so delicious and crazy cheap. Luckily for me I have younger brothers and sister which means we can order from the kids menu! (I don't think they are very strict about it anyways) The kids menu is pretty much robbery... Here is the link to their website but Canadians going to the states either this summer for ICP or just because please please eat here.

I know this will be my second home this summer... not really but when I can make it there.
